Harley Davidson’s “Bury the Noise” (commercial)
This campaign visualizes how Harley Davidson allows us to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with ourselves. It’s a reminder that there’s something right out there in our garage that can get us out of our pandemic rut.
We start the video with our rider, Woody, a 29 year old contractor who rides a XL883N IRON. Woody’s life was sent into a tailspin when the pandemic hit and he found himself buried in work, bills, and responsibilities, leaving Woody with little time to ride, until today.
Entering the raceway, Woody’s head is hung low. The howl of notifications, news broadcasts, and heated conversations, reverberates in his head. The weight of the world has grown heavy. Sitting on the track Woody starts the XL883N IRON. The roar of the engine is powerful and begins to overtake the dizziness of the outside world. Woody looks ahead, the distractions begin to melt away, clarity, he feels alive again. Woody cranks the throttle and the bike rips forward. The bike picks up steam as it rounds the first curve on the track, he’s locked in. He looks towards the horizon, enveloped in the warm glow. The weight has been lifted. This is a religious experience.
Rounding the corner our rider goes full throttle tearing down the straight away. The bike roars and hums, glowing under the stadium lights. Reaching the starting line Woody comes to a full stop, killing the engine. Crickets can be heard in the distance as silence falls over the entire raceway. Woody takes a deep breath relishing the moment, reborn.
