How did you get into directing?
My mom put a VHS camera in my little boy hands.
What is your most recent project?
I’m working on building a tree fort with my kid.
What is the best part of being a director?
I really don’t know.

and what has been the lesson learned from that mentoring which resonates most with you?
That’s like a seven-part question. “Talent borrows, genius steals.”
Who is your favorite director and why?
David Pogue. he’s the freshest director out there. He embodies minimal resource filmmaking. A true pioneer.
What is your favorite movie? Your favorite commercial?
Favorite movie; Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. Totally awesome. And Avatar. Avatar is definitely my favorite movie. Favorite commercial; the Sandy Duncan Wheat Thins commercials from the ‘80s.
Tell use about your background (i.e. Where did you grow up? Past jobs?)
My only other real job was as a dishwasher.
